This is a sculpt I did for a Haagen Dazs stop motion commercial. The character wasn’t designed by me but I thought you all might like to see some of the process behind making a stop mo character! I sculpted 7 different characters on this job. This one was called the “Saucemaker”. Scroll thru the images to see the 2D turnaround & the final character in the commercial. We made some adjustments to the model in the sculpt. I really liked how he came out! He feels true to the character designer’s drawings. I don’t often get work like this but when I do it’s awesome! I really love sculpting from other people’s drawings. Converting 2D to 3D is pretty fun. I’ll likely post more of the heads in the future
